Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jenny Feng. I’ve been lucky to be able to call 2 places my home – Asia and North America. With a passion and curiosity for traveling, I have explored 5 different continents with some of the most exotic destinations including Egypt, South Africa, Dubai, and as of most recent – Vietnam. A friend and I recently had the opportunity to visit the world famous limestone karsts of Ha La Bay, vibrant city vibes of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, and the gorgeous sand dunes in the middle of the city of Mui Ne. We just needed a white sand beach to complete our trip – and we found it at Fusion Maia in Da Nang.
The first morning upon arrival, we had breakfast in our own cabana on the beach, which was only a few steps away from our private villa. The weather was perfect, and the breakfast menu had many options to choose from ranging from local to western dishes. We couldn’t help but snap a few pictures of this perfect setting and took our time finishing up breakfast with this view.
After breakfast, we went to our first spa treatment, which was included twice a day with our room during our stay. This was incredibly relaxing given we had just spent a few days traveling on a road in other parts of Vietnam. The masseuses were very accommodating in customize our spa treatment according to our personal preferences. After the treatment, we took a quick dip at the beautiful spa pool before heading back to our villa to get ready to go to the charming town of Hoi An.
We took the complementary shuttle bus from the resort to the ancient town of Hoi An. Here we biked and walked around, admiring the vibrant colours of the shops and the festivities around the canal. At night, we had some local eats around the market, and watched the colourful lanterns light up the streets of Hoi An. This is a must do if you are planning a trip to Da Nang.
The next morning we decided to wake up early and we were rewarded with the most stunning sunrise. Again, we couldn’t help but snap a few pictures to keep as memories.
After the sunrise, we headed back to our villa to enjoy a breakfast by the pool. The hotel staff was more than accommodating as we had a few dietary restrictions, and they were able cater to our taste and prepared everything just perfect for us.
Finally, we spent the last few hours at the villa sunbathing and playing with Flo (we named our floatie!) by our private pool, before we had to check out and head to our next destination.
This was the perfect beach getaway amidst our hectic travel schedule in Vietnam. Thank you Fusion Maia for making our stay the best in Vietnam!
